I’ve always been involved in some form of construction. When you think about it, construction is a fundamental part of our society and daily life—it’s integral to our infrastructure. From roadsand vehicles to homes, apartments, and businesses, construction has always been central to mylivelihood.
I grew up on a small ranch/farm in southeastern Colorado, where my father, astructural/mechanical engineer, and I built everything we needed. Whether it was for our familyor someone in our community, we took on the task.
After earning my BS in Business and Management, I joined one of my family’s inspection/testing businesses in Orlando, FL. I worked in the non-destructive testing division, inspecting everything from theme park rides to power plants, and even new construction or remodels in high-rise hotels and FAA aircraft inspections.
When I moved to Wyoming, I wanted to work with my hands and help people. In 2015, my wife Laura and I had the opportunity to buy into an existing construction company that had been established in the area since the early '90s. We seized the chance and eventually bought out the remainder of the business in January 2017. Since then, we’ve been running the company, transforming the landscape for many families and businesses in our area, one project at a time.
Whether it’s a house or a commercial building, we’re always eager to help people and make adifference. I’ve built just about everything you can think of and look forward to continuing our mission: “You dream it—we build it.”
I began my journey in construction as a kid, learning from family members who were in the trades. By the age of 22, I had gained experience in various areas of construction,
including framing, siding, roofing, concrete, interior trim and cabinetry, drywall, flooring, plumbing, and electrical work. I discovered my passion for the unusual and “outside of
the box” projects, falling in love with the extraordinary.
I spent several years as an interior trim carpenter, working on custom homes in Denver and the surrounding areas. At 24, I developed an interest in the management side of
construction and accepted a position as a Construction Manager with a large home builder in Denver. Over the next four years, I deepened my knowledge of residential construction.
In 2007, I completed my Contractor License testing and started a general contracting company in Northern Colorado, which I operated until 2013. That year, I moved my
family to Wyoming and spent five years working as a Construction Services Contractor in the Jackson Hole area before settling in Sheridan. The community in Sheridan is
unlike any I have been a part of before; it truly is the greatest city, and I am proud to be a part of it.
Dan Bockman is a seasoned construction professional with over 18 years of experience in the industry, including 12 years dedicated to running a successful fencing company that his son is now taking over. His passion for construction lies in creating home and asset value for others, ultimately making people’s lives better through his work.
Specializing in Business Development and Sales, Dan thrives on finding unconventional approaches to business, constantly seeking innovative solutions. Beyond his professional pursuits, Dan enjoys writing books on business, reading about history, engaging in public speaking, and mentoring future business owners.
Dan’s favorite meal of all time is a rare ribeye beef steak paired with a 16-year-old scotch. Despite his love for home, where he finds the best vacation, he has a bucket list goal of writing a bestselling business book for men. Dan's affection for Sheridan is evident, as he fondly states, “I love Sheridan because… well, it’s Sheridan! Need I say more?”
